Join Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic on Saturday, May 31 at 10:30am for an untimed Fun Run event supporting breast cancer screening, treatment, and research in Alaska. KBFPC is proud to sponsor a virtual team in Homer for the annual Alaska Run For Women, which raises funds for and awareness of breast cancer and women’s health.
Distance: 1 mile or 5 miles, your choice.
Families welcome, and we encourage everyone to wear pink for breast cancer awareness!
To register with KBFPC’s virtual team:
- Visit https://www.akrfwregistration.org/team/4554 (or select “Kachemak Bay Family Planning” as your virtual team if registering from the main page)
- Enter your information to sign up. Registration is by donation. Thank you for supporting the fight against breast cancer in Alaska!
- Print your race bib and wear it for the run. Plan a festive outfit or pink accessories to bring awareness!
Route starts at the Homer Spit Fishing Hole. Check-in begins at 10:00 AM, race/walk begins at 10:30. See you there!
BONUS: your steps will count toward HOMER STEPS UP! For those participating in the annual May steps campaign, South Peninsula Hospital has extended the event through May 31! Anyone who gets 10,000 steps a day for these last three bonus days will be entered to win a pair of XtraTufs!
