FROM KBFPC’S September 2023 COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER

Friends,

We did not imagine that a major capital project would be part of 2023, but surprise! The repairs from the flood in July are well under way. The piles of rock and dirt, big equipment, and the shudders felt throughout the building as the work progressed became a welcome, but significant, distraction this month. Thank you to the KBFPC supporters who donated quickly and significantly, helping us get the timely work started. Your help will allow us to refocus in the days ahead on the real work of KBFPC – reproductive health and sexual health education.

Read on for more about the Nielsen Circle building repairs, World Contraception Day, the upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our annual October Pink Flag Campaign, and a special gift from the 100+ Women Who Care.

And if you are on the Kenai Peninsula, October 3rd is Election Day. Find out more about the upcoming election from the Kenai Peninsula Borough, Kenai Peninsula Votes, and the League of Women Voters (Central Peninsula).

With gratitude,

Claudia Haines, CEO
