Description

Reporting to KBFPC’s Executive Director, the Youth Program Manager is responsible for the R.E.C. Room and Peer Education programs facilitating healthy relationships, health education, and healthy choices for youth in and around Homer. This full-time leadership position plays an essential role in fulfilling KBFPC’s mission to provide broad access to reproductive health care services and education in a supportive and empowering environment. Working closely with 2 adult and 5-7 teen staff, the Youth Program manager interacts directly with youth participants in both classroom and afterschool settings to help provide high-quality, peer-led education and positive youth development especially in Resiliency Informed Sexual Health and Wellness and Substance Misuse Prevention and Resilience. All programs are designed to provide trauma-informed care and services that are respectful of cultural and sexual diversity. Candidates should have experience in an educational or recreational setting working with youth ages 6th-12th grade as well as experience managing grants, youth programming, and/or a small team.
