Earlier this month we were lucky to receive the locally crafted collective quilt project entitled “We Are All Connected”. This exhibit, previously housed at South Peninsula Hospital, has found a new home in the clinic! Contributing artists include Pat Sims, Jane Regan, Ruby Nofziger, Sara Reinert, Francie Roberts, and Nan Thompson.
The artists developed the quilts during the pandemic “when connection with others was very challenging.” The connecting theme of the project is the “idea of identifying, accepting and appreciating human differences, while recognizing our connectedness.” Each quilt incorporates a segment of fuchsia fabric that was hand dyed with snow – highlighting our connectedness.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to host this collective quilt project and share the artistic vision with our clients!

Walk-In Clinic: HPV Vaccine
Are you due for the HPV vaccine? Did you miss it as part of your childhood immunizations? Now’s your chance to get back on track!
KBFPC is hosting an HPV Vaccination Walk-In Clinic on Monday August 3 & Tuesday August 4 from 11am – 7pm. Anyone ages 18-26 can stop in for low- or no-cost cancer prevention!
Plus, on Monday Homer Public Health will be onsite from 11 -3:30pm to serve ages 9-17

Mobile Mammograms
Are you due for your annual screening mammogram? The Providence Mobile Mammogram truck is coming to Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday September 1st and 2nd.
Call Providence at 907-212-3151 to schedule (and ask about financial assistance.)
This service is provided regardless of ability to pay. Enrollment support will also be available for the AK Breast + Cervical Screening Assistance Program.
