Carolyn Norton
Youth Program Manager
(she/they)

Carolyn is a lifelong Homer person and longtime fan of Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic. Growing up, her best friend’s mother was a school nurse who would show them educational videos about puberty to see which they liked best, so her appreciation for high quality sexual health education goes way back.
Carolyn spent seven years with the Kenai Peninsula Children’s Advocacy Centers, serving as family advocate for children and their supportive family members dealing with sexual abuse and severe physical abuse and coordinating the multidisciplinary team that responds in such cases. She went on to work as a special education aide at Fireweed Academy before joining the KBFPC crew.
Today, she is happy to be raising her son in this special place, surrounded by family and friends. She spends her spare time acting and teaching youth theater at Pier One Theatre, and trying to keep her cat from eating the houseplants.
